rd1925 injen intake !!i need help!!

please if anyone can help me. I just recieved my injen intake and i was installing it last night but could not finish it because i could not find the air temperature sensor on my car. or at least what the install guide shows as the sensor. the closest thing i have and what i think is it is the sensor has a rubber gromet not a small plate with the two phillips head screws needed. i think i got the wrong intake. does anyone know the difference between the rd1925 for the 94.5-98.5 maxima and the rd1930 for the 98.5-99.5? my production date on my max is 01/98 so i ordered the rd1925. ?????? please help if you can.

The 1995-1996 have a air temp sensor and require the 1925. The 97-99's do not thus needing the 1930. Just check out injen's website

My Max was manufactured in Nov. 96 and it doesn't have a temp sensor. I'm using Rd1930 without any problems.
I just removed the plastic/rubber grommet from the original snorkel and plugged the hole (for temp. sensor) with it in Injen's pipe.

Don't really have a clue why Injen sells two different models Rd1925 and Rd1930, aren't they identical?

yea the temp sensor is in the bottom of that plastic scoop (the start of the the stock air intake). I heard some people get the check light on when they don't mount it near the intake. I heard if u just zip tie it to somewehre near it works fine

Yes your car does have the sensor. You're just either blind or too ignorant to notice. The 96 temp sensor is an oval plate with an arch coming out of it with a small resistor between the arches. It's coming from the same wire loom as the MAF sensor wires.

Um, I told you why they're different.

When I had my Frankencar midpipe, there was no place to mount the air temp. Nor did I even know about it. And got codes. Then I placed it in next to the filter and zippy tied it. No codes.

None as far as I know, I know the 3.5L 5th gens have most of the problems. For all of you, I borrowed a mid pipe from my buddy(has a 98) and used it on my 96. The hole for the IAT sensor fit great.
