pstt.

Whats wrong with my Knock Sensors ? Are you sure its actually a bad knock sensor ? Check the sensor itself with a ohm meter , Should read around 550 mega ohms . The harness is usually the culprit .

Well lets see . Knock sensor code doesnt mean your sensor is bad . Its not a hard code hence does not turn on the SES light . I would recc checking it and make sure its bad first. If its bad it will check bad with a ohm meter usually around 1200 mega ohms ..Good they check around 525-570 mega ohms . Or you could just waste $100+ dollars and replace it ..... If you erase the code and it immediatly comes back I would definatly check the harness .

Oh trust me, if its bad, you'll feel it... If you dont feel it your used to feeling the torque of a civic... MAYBE those who bought the car with a messed knock sensor or half working wouldn't notice until they check the codes or something..

Also, i've never heard of anyone having problems with the harness...

I wasted $90 and love it =)

Harness dont go bad, he's right on the KS code doesn't ALWAYS mean its bad, o2 sensors and other things can trigger it for some reason.. Either way, if your cars acting sluggish and not the same and you have a KS ghost code most probably your KS is messed up or getting messed up...

Butt Dyno is all I need to check my knock sensor :P

Thank you SOber, I have had my ECU reset like 5 Times and the Code keeps coming back. I am getting really bad Gas Mileage. And the car does not drive the way it should be. I can hear some Pinging and knocking once a while, but not always. I think my problem is a halfway bad knock sensor.. I never heard there would be a bad Harness for the knock sensor? is that possible?

I only have a code for knock sensor nothing else.

The wire breaks in the harness causing no knock signal to the ecm . This is not always the case but is worth checking . Its called diagnosis. Tis just something I like to do !

Also the guy selling the Knock Sensors offers the Harness hmmmmmm

Knock sensor WILL NOT set a SES light .. Usually if the light is on there is a O2 code stored along with the Knock sensor code . And 9 times out of 10 the o2 caused the knock code . Lean condtion ect.

Search completed auctions and find the guy from Hartford, CT that was selling them. Email him and ask if he has anymore. He wasn't running it with Buy it Now (auction only) and I didn't feel like waiting so I emailed him and offered him $85 shipped and it was on its way to me the next day. The next time I drove my car I was treated to some whiplash!

I bought my car used, Im not sure but I think I might have a half-way bad KS. My mileage is terrible and sometimes it feels like the car is lacking some power or maybe it might just be me. Does everyones car churp when shifting to 2nd at WOT? Mine did for a day and then it wouldnt do it anymore afterwards so im thinking its the KS going. I have o2 sensors already but didnt put them in yet...they are going in with my Warpspeed y-pipe
