sensors are dead

I have Max 58K miles on Max 99.
The Service engine soon signal runs off periodically now.
When I bring my car to mechanic or dealer they tell
me that a sensor is dead.
Every time this is a new sensor.
I already paid $1000 for replacement of these sencors.
Dealer can't tell why they are broken,
He just replaces them
Does anyone experience similar problem?
Thanks

Give us the code, we will find a way cheaper solution. Should have came here first then the dealer.

What sensors did they replace? Look at your bill...

If the engine light comes on, go to AutoZone and they'll read the codes for free. Write down the codes (it'll be something like P1234) and go here to translate them to regular codes: http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...22&postcount=2

Use the link that kevlo posted above to find out what they mean...

I am not having problems with reading codes.
I believe terchnicians know what they mean and
replace correct sensors.
For instance, dealer has read a code P1336 and replaced
crank position sensor, then code P0340 and replaced
CAM position sensor, then next week code P0158 and replaced O2 sensor 2 bank.
My mechanic replaced fromt and back sonsors several
weeks befor I showed my car to dealer.
I think it should be a reason why these sensors all die
one by one in a frame of couple months.
More, I noticed that this is happening all the time when
I drive to the hill.

you have so much faith in the stealership, why dont you ask them why theyre going bad? people presented you with a valid piont of checking whats wrong yourself so yu can find the root of the problem, nobody takes the word of a dealership around here, its bette ryou checking it then asking questions

kelvo:
the last code they gave me last wee was PO158
I've checked your pages and found 0313 for this one.
At the same time I could not get 0313 on the detailed
exlanation page.
The other codes are consistent with what they did.
However, I am afraid that all this is like treating the desease
and not what costs this desease.
Sensors are getting dead one at the time and it should be
some reason they do.
thanks
