I bought an AE dead pedal and Im going to install it with some Momo pedals. I marked off the back plastic that needs to be cut but I didnt dremel it off yet. How did everyone attach the pedal. I used a screw, the one right in the middle. Just set it in place and screw it down.

 

is the aluminum piece screwed straight onto the carpet, without any of the black plastic backing?
