I have the directions to read the codes, btu there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the flashes. How long is a "long" flash and how long is a "short" flash?

 

Long flash is about 1 sec. Short flash is about .5 sec. Trust me, you can tell the difference when they flash.

 

How long between repeat cycles?

 

There will be about 2 sec gap between each series of codes.

if there is an Autozone near your house, then go there. They will check your CEL for free.

 

you gotta stare at it for a few cycles so you can understand the code, happends to me sometimes but I eventually sort it out, make sure your looking at it once you turn the screw so when it starts you can see it if not you'll get kind of confused...

Write it down on paper that might help also...
