Are you guys replacing the cornering light lens on your cars as well? Not the light in the bumper, the one on the outside of your headlight. Just wondering because the pics I've seen with the lights on.. yours are the same color as your headlights.

The light shining through mine have a yellowish tint. You can even see it on the road at night... Bright white headlight (with slight blueish tint) with a dull yellowish glow coming from the cornering lights.

I'm just wondering because I've never seen replacement lenses for these lights, so I'm thinking maybe it's just a difference in the type of bulb you are using compared to what came stock.

I'm hoping to get some clear bumper lenses soon, and even though we're required to use the amber bulbs here, I still would like the cornering light to look whiter.

THanks for any ideas/info..
Be easy on me, I'm just a newbie!!

Its not the lense.

Its the bulb. To get the corner lights to look like they match
the headlights you should rewire them and put in superwhite bulbs.
Bulb size is #1157.
You can find directions on rewiring the corner lights at
www.maximadriver.com in the "how 2" section.

The brand bulb you use it up to you.

Replaced my cornering light bulbs recently. I too noticed that the original bulbs give off a "brown" hue. Picked up some new ones from AIE. Xenon hyperwhites. The bulbs actually have a blue coating. When installed and "off" you see a blue color to the corner lens. When on they are white. No more brown . They were fairly inexpensive and relatively easy to install. This one is a "no brainer".

Does anyone know if a higher wattage of the 1157 bulb causes a problem?

I had Polarg Super whites in there which were 35/5W and one of them blew out.

In the manual it says you're supposed to use 27/7W or something...Has anyone had any problems like this? or Did I just get a bad bulb?

Should I get the same wattage or the higher one?

Thanks!

Thanks again guys.

Thanks for the responses. Gonna look into getting some new bulbs when I get paid Friday. Not sure that I want to tackle re-wiring it yet... but I'll definitely get some "whiter" bulbs.

Now just gotta cross my fingers and hope I can get some of those clear corner lenses at a decent price

How are these Xenon bulbs color compared to the PIAA Platinums?
I have the PIAA's with Polarg corners and feel the Polargs are too blue. Since PIAA doesn't make 1157's yet, I want something to match better.

you can never get your headlights and your parking lights the same color so don't waste your money to compare. you can get close but no cigar.

Hey NisMax95

If you want to get the clear bumper lenses try http://www.courtesynissan.com/
They will cost $60 from there.
You might be able to find some cheaper on Ebay.
Good luck.
