What would you charge???

Ok, since I just started to fiddle with my Max I have learnd a boat load about the car. After dealing with the coilpacks and all and taking them out like 50times to find out which was bad I got real good at it. So I decided to do a tune up in the car. All went well.
Now here is the delema. I like this work and several people that live on my block all with 5th Gens want me to work on their cars.
This one person wants me to change the plugs and fuel filter, air filter and oil change. I have never charged anything and I want to but dont know how much would be good. I know them but at the same time I dont want people to abuse the knoweledge that I have gained from reading things on this Forum and reading books and risking stuff with my car. Those are countless hrs of studying you could say.
So gents..What would you charge???

Be fair about it...call around to a few garages and get estimates; then cut their labor price in half

[edit]Also, only take cash and make sure they understand that your work comes with no warranty of any kind.[/edit]

well dude said that he provides parts....I called the dealer here in MD and they charged just for plugs....$180. thats insane. Even if I cut that in half. I am sure that they will think it might be too much . Dont you??

Don't bother with the dealers...their prices are insane. Call local garages...ask how much if you pay cash; base your prices off of that.

hmm

Its good you know how to fix your car. i wouldn't fix any1 cars though. If **** goes wrong they are gonna bring it back to you. Even if it just is the air filter/fuel filter. Cars do ****ty things sometimes, and they are most peoples second biggest investments (house#1). This crazy world. you wouldn't want to get sued..Fix your car and your familys and some of your friends.....Just my advice do what ever you want tho.
