Keyless Entry Range

Hey guys,

The keyless entry range sucks on my car. If i'm in front of the car, it doesn't work. I have to be behind, or side my car in order for the doors to unlock.

Has anybody had any problems with their keyless entry?
Is there any solution to this?

I'm quite the oppisite... my fob has BADASS range... from inside buildings to hundreds of yards away. I would try replacing the battery inside of it.

Replace the batt, and hold the remote to your chin and the range will be unbelievable.

I've heard from many people that putting the remote to your chin increases the range. I have never tried it though. Is there a scientific explantion for the inceased range? I find that weird but i guess it works.

The chin thing definitely works! I can also get several hundred yards using that method! But you shouldn't need that for up close. Change the battery and see if that helps. If not, you have something else wrong. FYI...I have the original battery in my '97 remote and it is still working great.

To answer your remote-to-chin question. It is believed to be because under chin, you have many many nerves there, and when you place the remote under your chin, since your nerves run through your whole body, you have just become a walking antenna...........pretty kewl huh?!?!?!
