knock sensor ??

knock sensor ??

i remember a while back there was a thread on relocating the knock sensor. just wondering if it worked and if it is a good idea.

dont know if its a good idea because it has a specific sensitivity in the location it already is, you'd hav eto know if the location you relocate to will be ablet o sense knock, i dont konw how you would figure that out

i say dont fix it if its not broken, if your not getting any codes then dont touch it. Most people that do the relocation do it because they are changing their knock sensor.

thanks maxspeed96ct for the reply, the thing is my knock sensor has gone out and i'm saving up to replace it $200 for the sensor with a lifetime warranty or $90 on ebay with no warranty. so i was kinda thinking bout getting the $90 one on ebay but afraid that if it goes out i would have just wasted $90.

I have the $90. It is new OEM. So it should last just as long as facotry one.
