i am wondering if i put in a y-pipe and still use the stock airbox, is there any power gain? i know that the optimal gain is with the CAI but how about the stock intake? Thanks for your help.

I felt a gain w/ Y and stock intake->

but when I put the cone on, nice jump in power. I would have to say they should package these two together. They work that good together.

Definate gain. Guessing 5-12HP but I don't know for sure. So what if the air coming in is the same. The Y removes some resonators, lightens the metal, and probably helps your stock airbox perform better.
