stutter on acceleration

I get a strange stutter on hard acceleration after shifting gears. This makes me believe it is the clutch that is going but it only has 65-70k miles on it. It is most pronounced on 3rd to 4th shift when I shift from low rpm's on third gear and punch it in 4th. It happens rarely on the 3rd to 4th shift under normal driving, but when I try to make it happen I can repeat easily.
Spark plugs (NGK Plats) and fuel filter replaced 30k ago,
air filter and TB cleaned very recently.

I'm just looking for feedback to see if other people agree with me that its the clutch?

So this is DURING the shift, just as you let off, or are letting off, the clutch?

It's just as I let off and press the gas to start accelerating, the reason I believe its the clutch is because it only happens when I accelerate hard after the shift and the rpm's are low. If the rpm's are high and matched well it doesn't happen

Well maybe you shouldn't be shifting while in the lower RPM range. Is this common knowledge? I have a 95 5 Spd. and usually I shift at 3500 rpm's and never have a problem, but if i shift a lot sooner (like 1800 or 2000 RPM's) of course it will stutter and hesitate. Not exatcly nutritious for the tranny to drive like that.

Im not talking about shift points that low, I'm talking more like 2,500-3,000. I've had my car for 4+ years and I don't ever remember it happening before and it has happened under my normal driving which hasn't changed in the past 5 years.

it's not the clutch, it's one of your ignition coils going bad - believe me

I have a 96, I thought they only had problems with the 99's?

People always say that, but it's not true.

Yes, MOST ignition coil problems appear on the 99's, but you must understand that, in general, all 4th gen Maximas are prone to ignition coil failures.

Wouldn't this throw a CEL?

I'm getting the CEL for EGR solenoid and A/T control unit (on a M/T) and sometimes get the code for speed sensor. I have replaced the solenoid already with no luck at getting the light to come off.

why would his ignition coil only produce this problem while just giving it gas after a shift though?

Now that it's getting warmer, more humid, and the air pressure is lower, I'm noticing a slight stumble/bog occuring between 2600-2900rpms which is mostly noticeable in 1st and 2nd gear under normal acceleration. It's amazing because this happens like clockwork every Spring and if you notice, the Org will become flooded with posts about boggy low end acceleration and low rpm stumble/bogging. I think it's mostly weather related. You way also want to test/inspect your MAF ground and inspect the MAF sensor elements of build up.
