Case for battery dying out!

Cause for battery dying out?
I went away for the weekend and left my car in my driveway for 4 days unused and when i got back and tried to turn the car on, there is no power. My battery is dead. Is this a common cause if your leave your car sitting for days with out using it? Or do i just have a weak battery that needs replacing?

If his car was parked for 4 days unused, it should be drawing minimal charge and should have more than enough reserve to start the car. A faulty battery may not hold enough charge to start, but should hold enough charge to power up the elctronics/lights/etc.
syphic, do any interior lights work? Does the starter attempt to turn? Do you hear clicking? Have you tried a boost from another vehicle?
(I've had my car sitting for 2+ months and it still starts the first time).

the interior lights dont come on. nothing electrical comes on. and the starter doest click or anything. i havent tried jumpstarting it as ive been too lazy today to back it up out oif my driveway. this battery died out on me a few weeks ago and took it to auto zone to get rechanrged and it died again after i got back from my trip. im sure the battery is just past its time. i was just curious hoping it had nothing to do with my alternator or anything.
