1157 LED Bulb in Frount Blinker?

first off, you cant just swap the bulbs. The socket is made for 1156 bulbs aka only one power source.
what i did was go to autozone and i purchased some 1157 sockets for a GM (part # 85830 i believe). it has plastic housing and comes with a foam weather seal and is the same size as the stock socket. All you need to do is buy 1157 bulbs.
now you need to do the following. remove the front bumper lens housing and take your stock sockets also. what you will be doing is taking a sharp nice, or utility blade and making slightly larger slots to fit the new socket in. the stock sockets are 4 tab sockets. the new gm's are 3 tab sockets. you will need to shave the housing slots that the socket tabs fit in. you will find that the GM socket will be loose, but the stock socket will still fit right.
to fix the GM socket, wrap electriacl tape around the circular edge where the foam washer sits about 4 times. This will thicken up the socket and give it that extra tightness. They should now fit tighter than the stock sockets.
Now just follow the instructions on VQpower as far as how to wire them.

also a little heads up, replace fuse slot #5 with a 10 amp fuse vs the stock 7.5 amp fuse.

i'm planning on doing this too, already bought part 85830 a week or so ago and modified the corners to fit that socket... i'm not familliar with 3m wire taps though, what are these things? I was planning on just using wire connectors and electrical tape for my wiring.
