Gas problems :(
Gas problems :(
Ok, 2 weeks ago I fill up my car fully with 89 gas and reset my odometer. Line gets 1/4 way; I知 at 100 miles. Line gets 1/2 way; I知 at 200 miles. Line gets 3/4 way; I知 at 300 miles. So I'm getting 200 miles per 1/2 tank. At 3/4 I refuel the tank (day before gas prices jump up 12 cents) and reset my odometer again. Line gets 1/4 way; I知 at 75 miles. Line gets 1/2 way; I知 at 150 miles. Now I知 getting to 3/4 way, and its looking like 225 miles.
My question. What痴 up with that? I used same gas (76's). I drove the same routine. Only few times (2-3) did fast starts (RPMs at 3k and higher for each gear), and didn稚 add anything new to my car (no new Bazooka or sound or anything weight wise). Any ideas?

picky or not, where the freak did 100 miles of gas go? o.O Its my money, and i'm not 'packing bling blings'
oh, just in case, i drive STICK, not Auto
So doggy, i should be getting better gas then you, since we have same cars

Nothing changed from the last time I drove. I do 80% city driving, but its like "Express' wit 50MPH speed limits, not just normal streets. I only used A/C 1 time during this fill up, tires still the same (checked few days ago), Air filter, I doubt it can just 'get that dirty' in a week to screw me up off 100 miles, still have stock 16", and as I said, i havent done anything new to make any changes...thats what bugs me =/
You need to track long term. What you're doing, and I sometimes do myself, is keep a tab of where the gas is at the first marker on my gas. The most I've ever seen is 105, but sometimes it's 85. Reason? Improper fill at the pump. I always go until it auto-stops, but some pumps are more finicky than others.
I would advise starting from a full tank, then every time you fill record the miles you got on your trip and divide them by the gallons you had to put in to put it up to the top again. If you do this long enough you'll have a good approximation of your gas mileage.
