IMO get the aluminum dash kit. cuz i'm too lazy to take off each interior component, paint them, wait, dry, and put them back on.

Paint it!

I just painted mine, and it looks sweet, I'll post pics latro.

Its easy, and cheap. about 9 dollars.
Everything pops out and you can un click all the buttons and trim easily.
Painting is where you want to spend the most time.

about 2 hours then 45 minutes drying time.

If you have to use tape to mask off parts you can't get out.

If you have the manual climate control, mask it with tape and paint it. Don't get lazy, cuz you have to live with it.

aluminum dash kit would look better than it painted. you could never get that brushed aluminum look (or anything that nice) through paint IMO. even if you want a weird color, you can get a custom dash kit that looks far nicer than painting it. redlinemax.com has a whole section of custom kits

you can even get real cf (or opt for fake) it would just look better than a coat of paint on a stock dash

bah...if u want to go for a more personalized look, do the paint... all my friends did it and some even added texture effects and such, if you spend alot of time on it you can make it look like nothing anyone else has on their max. I'm about to rip out the dash on my 95 SE, is there something I have to do to get the panels out without damaging them? or do they jus come out untouched?
