Just a note:

The stillen intake is not a cold air intake. It's a hot air intake.

CAI sounds

I got the Cattman CAI, and it goes like this:

When you floor it, you hear it, if you cruise, it's just as quiet as stock. The loudness of the CAI is directly related to how far you push the accelerator. Also, when you hear it, its really nice! 1st week I had my CAI I was flooring it just to hear AND FEEL it. Of course, my mileage went down, NOT because of the CAI, but rather my over enthusiastic foot!

The CAI only introduces more air into the picture. The ECU adjusts the fuel to compensate. You can get better mileage with a CAI. In fact, On one trip with my gf who kept my foot in check, I got 30 mpg! I had the car in 5th gear cruising at like 30 to 50 mph. Never again!

First: The Cold Air Intake is made my Place Racing. Cattman is a distributor of the Place Racing CAI.

Second: You can only begin to hear the intake at around 2700 RPMs. When you go over 3500 RPMs it starts to get loud, but it sounds AWESOME!!
So basically it's only loud when you gas it.

Get the PR CAI. It is not what I call loud. Loud is having
no resonator and an aftermarket exhaust.

No one, I mean no one will ever know you have a CAI if
you drive like gramps. But when you get on it, man, it
comes alive, but the sound is very subtle. I still laugh
everytime I can get a free stretch of road to hear it.

Pay the extra $$$ and get the PR CAI. You won't be dis-
appointed.
