detonation after Y pipe

after i installed my y pipe it seems to be detonationg throughtout the rev range.
this is with anything more then light throttle. is the obd2 unable to give enouf fuel for this mod? i dont really like this and looking at either chippign the ecu or upping the fuel pressure as a cheaper alternative.

obd2 has nothing to do with your engine. It's On Board Diagnostics Gen 2. It's there so you can diagnose your car with a scan tool. what you are trying to say is your ecu might be causing this. and with that, i have no educated guess as to what your problem could be. sorry i couldn't be more help

the ECU would see the added airflow and add more fuel accordingly. the MAF senses exactly how much air enters the engine, so if the engine breathed better from a certain mod, and ingested more air, the computer would add more fuel.

there is something else going on with the install. you sure its detonation and not a leaky flex section?

Yeah what they said about obd2 is correct. and I would be looking for a leak around the flanges and the flex section.
