Please give me your honest opinion

hey whats up everyone,
well i currently drive a 1997 maxima gle with 15' sawblades....i am in desperate need of new rims, i found a place near my house selling 2002 gle rims for 600 (canadian) including rubber. What do you think of these rims and how would they look on a fourth gen. P.S - are they 16's or 17's....and does anyone have a pic of them on a fourth gen. Thanks in advance guys

if the tires are decent performance tires with good life i would do it. Im shopping for tires now and its gonna cost me like $4-500.

Do you plan to then sell your sawblades? Are you desperate for new wheels since they are damaged, or you don't like them? I'm stuck on stock steelies with the paint chipping off the hubcaps. I would love to get ahold of some sawblades cheap. Are you selling???

they said they would by my sawblades.....but they havent seen them yet. My friend drove tpday. I am going on Monday with my car. I am hoping to trade my rims in plus about 200-300 dollars for the 2002 rims. They look like they are mint, tires have about 70-80% tread. I did want the SE's but can't find em anywhere.

I wouldn't. You're going from a 16.5lb rim to a rim that weighs at least 20lbs. The ones in the pic don't even look good.

I like my uglyass saws. Either way, rims on a stock looking car don't look too good. Rims are probably one of the last things I'll buy for the car. Even a turbo comes first.

darrick and maximum those are the EXACT ones i want, but they are too pricey and hard to find. I think i am gonna go for the GLE's i showed, they look decent in person, it will make my car look much better i think

goign from 15's to 17's is a big differnece, your going to feel that you need alot more to get the car moving, i put the 16's fromt he 2000 GLE on my car, i think they look great, i had the honeycombs for a year, so dont even complaina bout sawblades because they acutally look human

Don't do it. That would be $600 ill spent. That could put you a third of the way toward lightweight 17's that look even better and with brand new rubber.

well thisis what im hoping. I can talk him down to $500 (CDN which is about $350 american funds)....trade him my sawblades which are mint for about 250-300 with tires, so that leaves me about $200 dollars extra. I think thats a great deal

I'd also consider the 16in 97-99 SE or the 16in 5 spokes used on the 2002+ gxe and the 2000+ se. Some 5th gen owners complain of the cost of the 17inch tires, limited selection, and poor driving in ice and snow. Just something to consider. Though your price for rims + tires with some good tread would be tempting.
