I have a 96 Maxima GXE that I just bought used. I've noticed at night when I have the headlights on that they will dim slightly for a second when I turn the fan on or when the A/C compressor cycles. What would be causing this? Thanks

 

I think that this is normal. Mine does the same thing. It does this for a second as well when I roll my windows up or down. If you are really concerned, you could go to Kragen, or any other auto parts place and they can check your battery and alternator to make sure they are ok.

 

Thats normal... If your lights would dim really really low and your radio would turn off and stuff you have most probably an alternator problem... But dont worry dimming when you mess with teh windows or the compressor turns on sounds pretty normal...
