Using Auto Climate Control (ACC) From a 99 in a manual CC from a 95? Possible?

I work at a junkyard and picked up an ACC yesterday from work. My manual Climate Control has three plugs, and the ACC has two. Can I cut the plugs and re-wire, or has anyone ever done anything like this before?

If not, does anyone have the wiring diagrams for climate control's from a manual and an automatic and I'll do a write up....

Thanks

Also I heard you need something else that senses interior temp so it could adjust lower and higher the a/c to keep the temp.. Probably not worth the trouble IMHO.

The sensor is suppose to be near the front vents below the windscreen

95-97 have different ACC than 98-99.
It is hard enoguh to try to conver 95-97 CC to 95-97 ACC. It would be 10x hard to convert 95-97 CC to 98-99ACC.

IMO I like the manual controls better, easier to use ... but that's just me

I'd like to see who has the guts to do a manual CC to auto CC conversion

As kevlo said, the ACC unit and wiring has changed quite a bit in these last 3 model years ... the 99s gained an AMB button and I've read that ppl here that have '98 ACC's have installed the AMB button

manual to automatic climate is NOT do-able.
Difference is the auto's have actuators controling the temperature door and ALL the vents and the manual has only one to control the temperature door.
So in order to change from manual to ACC you will need a whole bunch of solenoids.
