What do you mean by finish?
Do you mean color? If so, not that I know of;just the standard CF color.

i wonder if he means like totally different looking like wood-trim for example (not that anyone on this board would ever consider that hopefully). i can't think of anything different that would look remotely close to as good as the CF ones do :-/

Hmmm do thoes things flex? Like for the carbon fiber dash kits you heat them up and they become flexible then you stick them on. They are a softer finish more "rubbery"...u know? From the pics thats what they look like.

Their were some pillars made in the past such as the ones Supa Lao, and myself purchased in a group deal from a member named CAPVENT that had been made from the same material you are describing, its the same type as the dash kits. They were cut nicely and looked great, but after 2-3 weeks they turned yellowish gold color and got worse after that.
Many complained, and he stated that they were for indoor show use only and could not take the heat of the sun. He shorlty disappeared from the org.
The pillars ionic sells are made from the same material as the cf hoods and lips. Its a sturdy cutout and has a nice finish, the pieces are curved to match the molding of the pillars. However the pieces have a ruffer cut to them but not too bad.

Mine from New England Wood Dash cover the entire pillar.

They also come with the trim for the rear door (not shown in pic, but you can see it in others in this thread.)

^ Those look nice. I'd bet that the finish is a better on the ones from New England Dash, mine (from Ionic) had some rough and slightly uneven edges.

The ones I bought are still sticking and look OK.
HOWEVER, (and I forget who I bought mine from) the cut was poor and I had to alter them slightly.

also, these attached with double sided tape...

by from a reputable source -- it'll work out better in the long run...
