Tachometer going crazy!
Tachometer going crazy!
This morning while I was driving at a steady 60mph, I noticed my tachometer going wild...first it flashed over to like 4000rpm then down to 0rpm back to 2000rpm thn back to 0rpm. What the hell does that mean? Any body else experienced that? Solutions please!
all your wires that run through the firewall probably need to be replaced...that happened to me and a few others not to long ago =...i think it was about $150 at the stealer..mine got so bad my car would stall out and not start for a while...dont know how it ended up being hte wires but mine started like yours and hasnt done it since
Well I haven't experienced stalling problems but I do notice that when I try to remote start, it take a while to start...if it does. If it doesn't start it would take a while to turn over when try to start it with the keys. The strangest thing is that nothing else seems to change while driving or during stop and go. When I stopped at the light it aal of a sudden started working...like it was just a one time freek thing. Did this happen to you too?

check your cluster wires for corrosion...when mine were replaced they said there was some visible corosion down there....i cant imagine what else would make your tach do this...mine could have stalled b/c more wires were corroded than you have
