Traction Control/SLIP Light Illuminated

Hi All,

I have a '99 SE. I just got the check engine light and the Traction Control OFF/SLIP lights are both stuck on and the car is jerky when you first put it into drive, almost like this system is on when it shouldn't be. Obviously something is up with the traction control, I haven't had a chance to get the code from the ECU but thought I throw it out here to see if anyone else has had Traction Control issues on 4th generation cars....

Thanks

The only time my car did that is when I dismantled the intake to clean the throttle body. I started the car to burn off the cleaner and both lights were illuminated. I didnt drive it though, seemed to risky. I just replaced the intake and the lights went off. I have NO idea how they tie in with each other but they do. Did you do something to it recently?

TCS/OFF and Slip also came on when my 99 had a coil pack go bad. Pull the codes from your ECU, your probably going to have an ignition related problem.
