Who wants to rebuild their engine?

I was just curious how many of you want to rebuild or buy a new engine for your car when the mileage in the engine gets pretty high. What do you all think of this?

what exactly is the point of your question?

the only reason i'd be rebuilding or dropping in a new engine is when mine massively screws up. that said i would most likely be doing the VQ33 conversion then

Well right now I really want a supercharger for my car, but I just feel that I have too many miles on the engine to do it. So I was thinking about maybe sometime in the future, when my engine gets pretty old, either rebuilding or buying a new engine for the car and then supercharging. I just want to know how many people out there would do something like this. Sorry if it sounds stupid.

Basically are people planning on keeping their cars for a long time instead of selling it when it gets too old.

Just buy a low miler used engine. Hell I've seen people buying them for well less than $400. At those prices, VQs are pretty much disposable.

Thank you guys. Thank you for the link 007. I wonder where I would be able to find a low mile vq engine?

You are in the process of rebuilding your engine or do you have a low mileage engine that you are putting in? If you do have a low mileage engine, where did you find it?

You should look on car-part.com, Ebay, or a local junk yard. If you are rebuilding it, it doesn't really mater how many miles it has, kind of the point of rebuilding.
