How many batteries have you replaced??
The battery in my 95 Maxima SE is dead. It was replaced about 11 months ago with a Sears DieHard Gold. This was about the 4th battery I installed in this car since we bought it used in '97. The longest a battery has lasted was about 3 years. Are there any TSBs or recalls for this problem or am I just having bad luck with batteries??

Do you have a system?
I had gotten a system and had to change out my battery about 4 months later. It's been 10 months since then and the battery is doing just fine. I haven't had a system though since November.

yea my 97 i have gone through 2....you can recharge the batteries or refill the cells with water. Just cause it is out of juice doesn't mean it is dead. Recnetly I thought my battery was broke but my alternater was KA-put. I guess there was a recall on 97-98 alts but with my luck as usual it didn't apply.

My old battery measured about 11.5V without the car running and the cells were full. I didn't think that charging the battery would make a difference. Besides, the battery was a Sears Diehard Gold with a 3 year unconditional warranty!!
So I got my replacement battery and proceded to install it. After removing the old battery, I noticed that the middle of the negative cable was connected to the body behind the battery tray and the end of the cable was connected to the engine block. The crimp connection to the body seemed kinda a loose and it had some corrosion, so I decided to remove the cable for further inspection. This cable actually ran under the battery tray. Geez, they wanted to make sure they didn't waste any cable when they designed this car!!! After looking at the cable, I decided to replace it and figured out a way to make the 2 connections to the engine and body. I bought a new 31" 1 gauge negative cable and connected that to the engine block. I cut the original cable, installed a new crimp connector and used the same piece to connect the (-) side of the battery to the body. I connected the body ground cable to the bolt on the new cable and made the connection to the battery. I'm now back in business!!

I have replaced the battery 2 times since I bought the car in August of 98. Probably due to my kilowatt sound system, and other electronics. I have the Sears Weather Handler, the one above the Gold. I still had a month of full warranty left when the first one was dying, so they gave me a new one free of charge
