Leather Seats
Just came across an ad for black leather seats. Not too sure if I should get it. Right now I have gray cloth on a white 96 gxe with the C&C package. At the price the guy is selling, I could probably put in 8 or 9 mods

I'm asking if it's worth it.
He's asking 850. 8-9 mods include the cheap mods like headlights and what/not. No Stickers...Though, I have a friend who does decals. I might ask him if he can do a group deal if anyone's interested.

I wouldn't pay that much money for stock seats. You can get custom leather seats in a couple of group deals that are going on right now and they would be much better quality.
I could be wrong here, but I don't think you'll get alot of interest in decals.

I paid $300 bucks for a complete set of black leathers from the junkyard off a 99 I30. Absolutely no damage at all and the front two were power heated seats. Didn't hook up the heating option yet though. Maybe I will in the late fall but there's no way I would pay 850 for some used ones.

For me, the leather is much higher maintenance. You have to condition it and have to be careful what you put on it.
Also, the leather is very slippery and everything that you have in the seats(including people) slides off.
Do what you want, but I think the aftermarket leather idea is a good one if you are wanting leather. You can get it any way that you want.....i.e.....different colors and textures.

I probably could've talked him down, but it's not worth it. That money could go to way better use like mods or wheels and tires.

I agree. Its personalizing, but its gonna look ghetto. But to everyone his own.
850 for stock leather seats? Talk about trying to bending you over. Most you should pay is 500 bucks. Check out the group deals. For 850 you can get 4 03 SE rims w/tires....or a painted stillen bodykit.
leave that deal alone.

our leather seats are shytty! Dont act like they arent b/c they are. I have a fully black leather interior and it looks great but the quality and supleness is deffinetly not up to par w/ other nice cars. I would not swap. Especially for $850, thats nuts...........
ive got leather black on black and i like the looks. it gets kinda hot inside with the black leather and all, and the seats are a bit slippery but i like it. im small so my seat doesnt "grip" me in but its fine.
as for paying $850 for OEM leather seats, its outrageous. you might as well go with aftermarket seats which have better "grip" on the body and looks cooler too. but hey if you like the leather oem seats, go for it but not for 850. more like $3-500 in excellent condition.
