This is what http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php said about the setup:

APEXi WS Catback:

* Description: One of the quieter catback systems availible, that still gets deep sounding when you go WOT.

Hahaha whoops got confused with the sports SORRY!

HKS Rear Section

* Description: One of the quieter mufflers availible. Only fits 95-96 maxima's. Made out of aluminized steel.
* Possible problems: Some 1/4 mile testing has shown that this muffler actually slightly decreases performance over the stock muffler. Also many have reported of rusting problems.

Not sure about that. The HKS is what Stillen uses(used) for their rear section and those are one of the louder, raspier ones.

The HKS Sport is an internally baffled type muffler. HKS also makes a straight through canister style muffler that is much louder and is probably what you are referring to.

I had the HKS Sport for about a year. It sounded very good, I thought, nice and deep but not too loud, even at WOT. It got very raspy sounding, though, when I replaced the stock b pipe with a Stillen b pipe. I had a muffler shop weld in a 32" resonator and that got rid of the raspiness. My only complaint with the HKS is that it did not last long after I bought it (used). An internal baffle came loose and it rattled horribly, so I'm back to stock.
