I have Red/clears on my 96 and just got a fix-it ticket for clear rear turn signals (I thought they looked awesome). the CHP officer told me they can be amber or red. so what color do you guys think I should go with? Thanks

 

I don't know the laws in cali but in Tx it's not the color of the lense that matters but the color of the light emitted. I just changed my bulbs from clear to amber and i haven't gotten hassled after my fix-it ticket.

 

He probably had a blue or white bulb. The lense itself can be whatever color as long as the signal is red/orange while blinking. Then again Cali is such a ****ed up state anything is possible.

 

Same with NY. Personally I'd go with Amber, just because it's more visible than Red. As well, many red bulbs tend to look pink when illuminated. That'd be SSSuper.

 

just put an amber bulb in it and you should be good to go.

 

yes cali is wack like that besides all the ricers who got blue bulbs in their turn signals and they dont get tickets? okay so back to your question, just pop in an amber bulb in the turn signal and you should be all good like brudaddy said.

just put back ur stock one, go to DMV get ur fix-up ticket done, and swap back ur red/clear.
