Eibach/Tokico Combination?
#1
Who here has Eibach springs and Tokico shocks?
Which specific springs (Pro-kit,etc.) and shocks (Ilumina) do you have?
How do you like them?
How is the ride?
Any problems?
Do you notice any difference?
I'm thinking of upgrading the suspension on my GLE and wanted to get some opinions.
Thanks!

Hmm...Different...What do you mean?
I just got 17 inch tires and the car feels "wobbly" at times, mostly through bumps...I'm hoping the springs and shocks will do the trick...
Am I going to have to stop completely at speed bumps now?
Thanks!

I had that setup once upon a time. The ride is OK, not as good as H&R or ST. The drop isn't low enough. Handling is ok, no roll, but the center of gravity is still high. I like my current setup, although the ride isn't as pleasant.
Anyways, Tokico only makes their HP Blue shock, not the Illumina.

Yes, definitely do the springs at least. I ran my 17's stock for 2 days, and the car was all over the place. I did my springs first. After my shocks wore out then I got Tokicos. Tokico and Eibachs (or H&R) is the best overall setup.
Pluses:
1. Lowering is not extreme, so driveways and speedbumps not a problem.
2. Better ride than Sprint(harsh), Intrax (bouncy), or coilovers (harsh).
3. Great for everyday driving.
