Warpspeed Ypipe and Jwt popcharger installed !!! impressions

when my O2 sensor went bad it prompted me to get the warpspeed Y pipe on the group deal which i did it was 160 shipped and i had buddy of mine help me install it last saturday. frankly i was not impress before the car would chirp on the 1st to 2nd shift and now it doesn't anymore so i gave it the benifit of the doubt and figured i would wait for the "ecu to adjust". FYI the wapspeed pipe sucked A$$ to install and i had to shave a little of the engine crossmember in order to stop it from touching when installed. i am very ****ed and i am never going to buy any of there C*R*A*P again. so on tuesday i decided i would order an intake which i did and i installed it today . i now have the JWt popcharger, warpspeed y pipe and hiflow cat. the car does feel quicker. on the highway no longer need to downshift to 4th as much to accelerate. the sounds is nice i am not sure i like it yet but i would know for sure in a couple days. on saturday i am having my my max dynoed. at New england dyno with the rest of the max guys from on here. i have a 99 SE-L 5 speed with , warpspeed Y pipe, JWT popcharger and Catco hiflow cat. i am hoping for 175 fwhp but only time will tell. i will keep you guys posted.

i havnt modded the WSP y pipe yet, but i need to do something. it hits the subframe and is quite annoying. my stock muffler sounds all raspy too, not too impresed with the sound of the Y so far... but wow look out in the passing lane for me

defiantely not a fan of noise, its bothersome , so im going back to stock,it does fly at higher RPMS though, but the noise outweighs all else

You should have closer to 180-185fwhp with your mods. If you don't have close to that then you need to check your knock sensor.

Well i just recently replaced the Rear 02 sensor and when i did we reset the ECU there were no codes other than the 0901 for the O2 sensor. so i don't think the knock sensor is bad. but then again you never know. i live in massachusetts and we have access to 93 octane fuel which is what i have always used. the car will have 98,000 miles as of today. i also has an oil change on sunday with full synthetic oil as i have done since purchasing the car. i would love to see 180-185 fwhp but i would be happy with 175fwhp.i will keep you guys updated on how she does for #'s

What noise are you guys talking about? A y-pipe doesn't introduce much noise at all assuming you've got a stock muffler with a resonated B-pipe. During normal driving the difference in noise is very minimal. If you have an aftermarket muffler, then trash it because the 2hp gains pale in comparison to those of the y-pipe. A y-pipe is an easy peak 10-11whp mod that makes up to 15whp at certain points of the rpm band.

As for the gains, it will take about start/stop 30-40 cycles before you'll start seeing the real gains. It takes time for the ECU to adjust to the y-pipe, especially during part-throttle operation.

My WSP y-pipe, hybrid intake, UDP, and B-pipe I made 184whp/193wtq.

It's too bad the fitment is poor on these y-pipes. My non-mandrel WSP y-pipe fit perfectly and there's about .7" of space between the pipe and the cross member. The WSP fit much better than my prior Stillen y-pipe plus the WSP made quite a bit more power because of the larger piping. My guess is WSP now has multiple y-pipe jigs so they can keep up with the huge y-pipe group deal. In the process, one of the jigs was probably poorly made.

the noise i am talking about is the intake, while it is nice once in a while its pushing it for me. i usually do most of my driving around 3000-3500 rpms on the highway and my commute is about 90 miles a day. although these are all highway miles i just don't want it to drone. the intake isn't as bad as i thought it would be at steady rpms i can't even notice it. like is said 175fwhp is what i am hoping for

I cant wait to install my WSP Y-pipe. I am running a similar set-up with stillen exhaust. Im just praying that I do not have fitment issues like many of the threads on here talk about.

Keep us updated on the #'s

keyword, much noise...i hear it, others dont, its at idle to about 30 mph so i am choosing to remove it, it does fly when im on the highway and want to pass someoen, but id rather have less noise and vibration through the pedal than more acceleration, again, im not discrediting it, but some peole are more sensitive than others. im all stock, and i guess im just going to stay that way

Got my WSP y-pipe installed today.

Can't hear it until WOT at high rpm's. Then all hell breaks loose. lol

To say my car was rusted is big understatement. Only 2 bolts didn't break and they were being careful after the first one snapped.

It gets better after 30-40 cycles? I've heard that several times but until I see dyno's no sale.

My max went from dogsh1t slow to chirping 2nd gear in automatic. Right out of the parking lot. heh

I didn't put the pipe on, but something's a little loose. There is a noise I can't really explain once I hit 6K. But then I cruise at maybe 3K so I can deal with some header leak for an occasional race. Might just have to re-tighten the bolts or something since most of them broke off and had to be drilled out.

To be honest I was a little let down with the car in general when i bought it a month ago. My dad's old 5-speed was definitely quicker. BUT. After burning up a tank of fuel today, I am 100% happy with my choice to buy this car.

It's no scret where the power comes from on those y-pipes. Here is the chunk of inter-twined lead that was once under my car.

The new y-pipe weighs maybe 5 pounds? Not to mention it flows a little bit more than stock.

I'd buy it again if I had the choice.

BTW, I agree with whoever said the muffler = crap thing. Unless your boosted there's no need for that kind of rice-hattery.
