Let's just say that putting LED's in your BOSE is a huge pain in the butt.
If I ever finish it, I'll let you know how it turns out =)
The main problems are space, and as usual, uneven light dispersal.

you could always do this to make your clock match http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=207107 Someone's done this with the display on their bose unit too, but I think they said they had a hard time getting it open.

Replacing all the button lights with LEDs would be a PITA. The lights are about the size of 3mm LEDs but mounting the resistor is the tricky part. Im sure it can be done if you can surface mount the LEDs and find another way to install the resistors. Using LEDs would result in "hot spots" which can be fixed. If the LED is sanded, making the light will disperse more evenly. I have all my displays changed to white and the "Disc" LED changed to red. I was going to do the auto CC and Bose illumination in white LEDs but i havent had the time.

blue led's

Just curious before i try doing this mod myself. How did you go about changing the led's to blue? Did you switch the led's themselves, or do that little celophane trick or what? Any advice would help. I just wanna do it right the first time. Thanks.
