I put the Altezzas on my 96 max, and they dont light up in then back when your light are on normally, and you see the reds when its night.

How can I remedy this situation, cause I've been stopped by police and other drivers yelling "your tail lights are out."

I'm wondering if the small light in the corner is what is responcible for brightening up the reds? I had blown a fuse when I was putting the Altezzies but repaired that but belive the small lights are out.

How can I get my light to light up properly, so that police and other stop telling me my lights are out.

thanks for the help.

The little light on the back doesnt really have anything to do with the brightness of the others. I dont even use it. I like the way it looks with out. I know the wiring harness that the bulbs plug into is pretty crappy on those alts. I already had on go bad. I needed to do some creative rewiring on the ground wires.

i can't say i understand what you're talking about.

you said they're not on but you see the red when it's night?!? explain it better and you'll get a better response.

that light that your arrow is to is a side marker type of light. it's a 194, you should put a red light in there or take it out all together. some smart people leave the clear/white bulb in there and that is illegal.

please explain the situation a little better and hopefully we can help.

The small lights have nothing to do with it. I have red/clears in the back and don't have that bulb in either. You may have just burnt out your bulbs when that fuse went out somehow. I suggest changing at leaste one of your bulbs to test it out, if not that you got me. I don't think your altezzas have anything to do with it, but I guess thats what you get for going rice! J/K

Ahh yeah I forgot about that. If you put the wrong bulb in the wrong socket it will f-up the bulb (not that I made that mistake or anything, hehe). Check your bulbs out.

they must be hooked up wrong, so they are black unless you are braking right?

Well you should have just gone with RED/Clears IMO. You wouldn't have that problem

not really its a sign to make sure that certain wires dont touch then installing new electrical devices, may blow a fuse.

thank you, yes it turned out to simply be a matter of the blown 7.5 tail light fuse, bought new ones at the auto store, and put a new one in all works fine.

thank you all for the help, it was a bit confusing as to why its was acting this way but with your help have solved the problem.
