I think my problems were driver error. I fried the clutch on the burnout, and could not run again after that. It takes a while for a clutch to cool off from something like that.
If this is your first time on slicks you might want to try not doing a burnout in the water box so you can get used to them. Just spin them as you approach the staging light. Give your self a few runs to get used to how it feels then do the water box burnout.
Also, don't be like me and slip the clutch or let it out slowly. You just have to side step it. It's a really cool feeling launching on slicks.
I used 14psi cold.

yeah i am really curious about the launching rpm with the slicks.and i assume you mean just slip my foot off the clutch to the side?

Yhea, don't try and modulate the clutch. Just quickly slide your foot to the side. It's the fastest way to engage the clutch. I would say try 4.5K-5K clutch dump the first time and see what happens.
