My Productive Weekend *PICS*

Well I was contemplating getting a CAI, but decided to take the cheaper route. I remembered the $15 HAI mod and worked from there. Total cost: $50

Continued:

Along with the CAI, I built a new box for my sub. Its an Audiobahn AW1206T and I got it wired to an Audiobahn A8002T. It pounds really hard. It is also build to Audiobahn specs. 2.5 cu feet total and a 4" port that 7.25" deep

^ Its a little dusty, but the chrome still looks nice ^

^ CHECK OUT THAT REFELECTION BABY!!! ^

about the chroming... I was thinking of painting it yellow to go with my battery and stuff... wanna color coordinate the engine a little. But for $50 im not complaining. The Injen costs like $250 roughly...

if it works it works, AND if it works on a budget, even better.

me too.

if thats 50 bux including the filter than thats a good job!!!!!!. looks very nice and professional. good job man. ditch that painting it yellow thing, yellow just screams rice, id keep it black or paint it a glossy black so it has some shine to it. im not to much of a fan of colors under the hood, besides maybe a valve color. i dont even like the blue silicon hosing on my injen knock off, id rather paint the couplings black or something dark. well anyway good job man, what else do you have planned?

Heh, well no the $50 didnt include the filter as the filter it self was a good $70 (K&N) But actually looking through my reciepts it was actually only about $25 but I guess somewhere between buying all the parts and counting the money left in my wallet( I had $100 when I started) I bought something else... I think it was gas.

But yeah, I dunno I think Im just going to remove the bar code off the top piece.
Even if it did cost a little more than the ones off of Ebay, I have the feeling of accomplishment. I built it using ABS Plastic and wutnot Heh...

I will post pictures later of exactly where I have the filter place (I know its lower than the Injen) and I also added a "scoop" to direct air from under the car to the filter area.

Ghetto modding at its finest!

Take a look at the Injen intake and get creative

Hmm, for 50bucks you should picked up a true CAI from ebay instead of making the injen style. Just MHO.
