Knock sensor wiring harness...

Would you recommend getting the wiring harness for the sensor or without? Is the factory sensor easy to get off the wiring harness without damaging the harness? Thanks for any suggestions!!

In general, I don't see the need for a new harness. Very easy to remove sensor from harness. It is POSSIBLE that the harness is bad (and not the KS), so it might come down to price. Once you remove the old KS, you can check the harness, and if you need a new one, you can drive your Max to the dealer and buy a new one (without any dammage to the engine).

changed mine last night, I broke off the red piece that covers the two wites b4 it gets to the wire cover by accident, but the wire harness was vey easy to remove, and no need to get a new one, as for the red piece, I just wrapped it in electrical tape...

After you remove the wire clip that locks the harness to the sensor, it comes apart with no effort.
