Anyone shave of their...

Has anyone here got tired of their "power antenna" that usually stops going up or down and shaved off it's black enclosure and removed the antenna. Theoretically this would really only be done if you were to get satellite radio and wanted to give the car a cleaner look. Does anyone have a photo chopped pictured? That'd be cool...anyone?

Instead of removing the annoying antenna(I have satellite radio), I simply just disconnected it so it wouldnt go up or down anymore. To do this you have to take out your jack in the trunk and feel where the antenna is plugged in. I couldnt see where the wire was but I felt around for a minute or two and then finally pulled it apart. Much better now. Hope this helps.

I would never remove the antenna just in case I wanted to sell the car .

I would say go for it. I had the same idea when I replaced a broken mast. I had the whole thing off the side of the car and thought......hmmm, wouldnt it just look better if I were to bondo over the hole and have it painted?

Just keep all the antenna stuff in case you decide to sell. Then all you have to do is drill out the bondo. Shouldnt be hard.

I like my antenna, it only goes up about 6inches, not too long, not all tall like a race car. It gives it more of a sporty look. I still get good reception.
