I've been doing a lil research of my own on the new dragon intakes from weapon r, and I don't think they make the dragon intake for the Maxima yet. But once they do, I'll most likely be getting one myself, mainly for the looks. Power wise, I think it's about the same as any popcharger.

You could do the "BrianV intake mod". And get an upper pipe from me and have the same thing for way cheaper.

It works like a cai

the dragon intake is designed to give you the hp that a CAI does without the risk of water getting into the pipe, they make on for a MAX and I am ordering one in about two weeks. Check out the WeaponR web site to see about the intake, not to mention it looks cool.

Hey it does look pretty cool...

but I've seen a lot of reviews from unhappy customers about them using cheap filters (foam element)...

What a joke that Dragon intake. It will NOT be the same as a CAI. The OSCAI will make more power than that Dragon crap. And if its like the rest of weapon-r's crap. The filter is foam. Yuck.

Dragon

This is from the weapon-r website,
"The Dragon Intake System is the newest and most innovative of the intake systems from Weapon·R Competition Products. To further improve performance gains from an intake system, we have developed an Air Turbulance Defuser which is welded into the airstream of the intake pipe. The Defuser is stratigically placed in the intake pipe to create a harmonic balance in the air charge, which straightens the airflow and creates a Hyper Combustable formation of air intake charge.

To increase intake charge, we developed the Dragon Filter, which features an internal dual tuned flow velocity stack design and Air Turbulance guides. Utilizing the high flow rate characteristics of a foam filtering element, we are able to increase flow by 25% over other filters. We have also increased the PPSQ (pores per square inch) on the filtering element from a 40 PPSQ to 80 PPSQ to further protect your investment."

Re: Dragon

First of all.. I don't think any of their flow straightening will work. Considering there is a screen in front of the MAF sensor anyways. I still don't think that foam filter will flow any better than my JWT filter. Wash the foam, it will break. I'm not saying the Popcharger or the stillen HFI is the best. But they are better than the Venom gimmick intakes. To me, the dragon is a waste of money. On top of it. It looks ugly.
