It is fun to get looks, because nobody knows it is a Maxima.
and +1 for everything else you said, Exotic...

you sure told him, lol ... but really that was a bit harsh tho.

SE vs. SE-L

SE-L has titanuim tinted gauges and wheels
SE-L has perforated leather option w/ SE embossed on front seats
SE-L has "SE Limited" badges and logo on floor mats
SE-L also has Crimson Blaze Red color choice

I would, I love the badging, the wheels, the gagues, the floormats, the perf leather seats, and the color. The only other year you could get the bright red was in 92 on a max. That is rare. And I have a 5spd. Very rare! Looks awesome with red/black.

I love having a Limited too...People always ask me what makes it limited, and I ask, "Do you have one?" "Do you see many of them driving around?" and they say no, and I say well that's what makes it Limited

IMO, the best thing about the SE-L's are the smoked SE-L badges on the side and the Maxima emblem in the rear. The reason why many shave and don't like the rear Maxima emblem is because it looks far worse when chromed. It's chromed on all 4th gen's except of course the 99 SE-L's, where it is SMOKED/titanium-like color and looks bad A$$.

+1 BOSS.
I love that color of the badging.
And, yes, that is a good reason why it is limited, My4DSC.

That does look good . .. however I think the best part about SE-Ls are the fact that they came in Crimson Blaze, my favorite color on the 4th Generation Maxima.

And to think, Wisky, I almost got a sterling mist max? ha ha.
I like the wine color you have, but I must say the bright red is fun.
Props for a good looking car, Wisky.

The wine color I have is Rosewood (LS5), its one of the rarer colors seen around here on the org, but it has grew on me since I purchased the car. Thank you for the compliments. . . after looking at your cardomain page I must say your car looks awesome as well, expecially concidering its Crimson Blaze. If I ever have to replace my 4th gen, It would have to be a 99 SE-L in that color.

Yeah, the color is pretty much the one redeeming factor that keeps me from getting terribly mad about not having any ECU upgrades.
Thanks for all the compliments.
I wish I had a digital camera to take some better pics.
Those are all with 35mm on cd.

ha ha ha. I couldn't think of the color....yeah, I like the rosewood. It looks really good, and gets a nice shine to it. You get a little more benefit than black, because it pretty much looks black at night, and then has some color in the daytime.

Oh, and since we're on the topic of the SE-L, check this out.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

99 Maxima SE-L , 57K, automatic, CRIMSON BLAZE, black leather, looks like the body is in perfect condition except for a minor dent on the front fender.

Since I don't have $10000 to spend, I thought I'd bring it to the attention of someone on the org who might.
