Dude you should rewire your fogs next so that they turn on COMPLETELY independently of the other lights! I just did it and I love it already! Freedom!

(thanks again for the consulting Jeff)

I was talking about him going onto my homepage and finding a picture of the rear of my car and then posting it up. That is some research for just one post.

I knew that mine were all connected by the little tabs, but I didn't know the actual letters were less spread out then the 95/96.

[QUOTE=Brudaddy]Was that hard
To be honest, the hardest parts were 1)splitting the damn relay box because it had never been open and was stuck due to micro dirt in the cracks. 2) I made a mistake and cut the power wire going into the fog relay WAY to close to the relay itself so had about 4 mm at first to splice my extra 4" of wire onto it. i had to seriously do micro surgery with an exacto knife to give myself more exposed wire and to connect it to the extra wire.

My advice is look for Kenji's instructions using the search. Then when you cut the wire, GIVE YOURSELF AT LEAST 2-3 INCHES to play with!

good luck if you do it. I'll post pics when my camera becomes operational again! It was WELL worth the hassle. I love being able to control the fogs completely seperately!

Heh, yea the "XI" is kinda unique...

I've seen some "unique" stuff done with the Maxima lettering before..

for one this one kid i know named Max... just happened to shave off "ima" and centered "M A X" on the rear, and trimmed a huge MAXIMA sticker down to MAX and centered it on his front windshield... it actually looks pretty good.

Then this other kid i know who'se African American, painted his whole Maxi black, shaved the rear symbol + lettering and on the front windshield he got a custom sticker that says "Da Black Max". it's pretty hot.

^ Just some "unique" things ive seen done with the name.

Thanks for the kudos, I personally still like it alot, so it has stood the test of time so far. It worked out so that the XI is right in the middle so it has symmetry going for it.

Every 4th gen should be totally shaved! It's the only way the rear looks good.

**EDIT**

BTW, I wanted to add this experience I had regarding this. I didn't intentionally shave off the emblem. What had happened was that it got stolen in a mall parking lot in downtown Vegas last summer. The b@st@rd left 2 small marks where the paint had chipped off since I'm sure he didn't use a blow-dryer and floss to remove the emblem (like he'd really care). Anyhow, initally I wanted to get another emblem but then I have grown to like having w/o it. And now, it's nice to be a little different from all the Maximas I see parked at work. Just thougth I'd share a short story here.

I would consider shaving them off entirely if I had Altezzas, ground effects, or both. But for now, I think it looks cool just having the name there. Perhaps color-matching the name to the body color would be unique.

Here's mine:

The best way to do it is shave the emblem first. Then go from there. I like mine just the way it is for now.

Friend of mine has an Eraser wheel at his auto-body shop, and Ive watched it peel that **** right off. I went to CVS and bought a large pencil eraser for a buck, and the adhesive came right off. I didnt even polish it, just wash the area with warm water afterward, and its as if its never been there.

Well, I always thought this until I saw that black one posted up a ways. That thing is fine, and I cannot argue at all about how it looks. Good body kit, perfect drop, nice wheels, nice paint, everything is perfect.

BTW....I have a 99.5 and the M A X I M A is spread out on mine. I think it is the 95/96 that are close together.
He's right.
