Hesitation at 4000 RPM after tune up
Hesitation at 4000 RPM after tune up
hey everybody hows it going. My car is a 1995 Maxima GLE, auto, 140K. I got a tune up about 2 weeks ago, after the tune up i noticed that the car hesitated at certain RPM's and when the car was in drive but at a stop it would periodacally shake. I brought the car back to the mechanic and had him replace the new plugs. The plugs were NGK platinums. This still did not fix anything, i was getting a knock sensor code, replaced that. Replaced the MAF sensor, and had the mechanic ohm test all the coils. I cleaned the throttle body a bit, but i didn't pull it. It was done right on the car with the air box pulled of. After all these steps the car is a bit better but it still sporadically hesitates and flutters when i accelerate and the RPM's are at 4000-4500, as soon as the RPM's get higher or lower than that
its fine. I am running out of options, if anybody could help

I am not just talking out of my b.u.t.t., I have experience with this hesitation thing. Mine was doing the same thing, and I started using 93 octane gas, and it has disappeared. It pulls hard all the way to redline now.
Try it out.
Try it out.
