0505 being no failure, why would my CEL be on? I do have a faulty speed sensor, I guess maybe the light is on because of it but shouldn't it throw the speed sensor code?

Ummmm...riiiiight. Anyway, I read through that whole thread and there isn't much there. Not sure if you read my whole 2 lines but I DO have something wrong with the car, I have a faulty speed sensor. Not a big deal but the car should still throw a 0104 code which is the appropriate code for faulty speed sensor. I actually used to get it before I changed the KS. Now I get 0505 and I haven't changed the speed sensor yet.

If you read the whole thread as you say that you did, you woudl see that I threw a CEL and pulled an 05 05 as well. I then did a REAL OBD II scan with a real scan tool and my true codes were revealed. Most likely, you will have to do the same thing. YES< it SHOULD show the proper code, but a lot of us on here have had trouble w/ a CEL that was REAL, but the diagnostics only revealed an 05 05.

I don't think I'll get it scanned since I already know what's wrong with it but it's all good. I just got the impression you were getting a CEL without anything being wrong with the car, which wasn't the case for me. thanks
