Pics of New Front End / Billet Grille / 3m Clear Bra

Hi all,

I just recently got a new bumper (didnt drill holes for plate), new paint on hood, new T-Rex Billet and 3m clear bra. Posted below are some pics. The bra is much easier to see in person but only when you are right up close. This fix cost me about $1700. I was desperatley needing it, those who saw my old bumper and Trenz can vouche for me.

That looks very nice. Is the bra something that you have to remove to wash underneath or does it stay on indefinetly? Does it harm the paint in any way?

by the way, what do you do about waxing your car with the clear bra on? wouldn't after awhile a buildup occur at the edge of the bra?

Great job, looks showroom new.

I am curious also about restrictions with washing, waxing or color fading???

Just wash and wax like the rest of the car. If you use traditional wax you will probably have to clean the edge of the film. I use Zaino, which leaves very little residue, so you have to really look for the lines. I find that once waxed, bugs come off the film MUCH easier than waxed paint. I have 8,000 miles on mine and not a single chip, so I'll trade those almost invisible lines for the chips any day.

I hava a clear bra on my car. It was dealer installed. Covers the the back of the rear viewmirrors, most of the headlights. The hood and fenders. No need to remove it for washing. Haven't waxed yet except for Eagle 1's "Wax as you dry". That stuff is great!

I plan on getting a clear bra on the bumper once I get that lower portion painted silver. I highly recommend clear bra.

The bra is warrantied for 5 years. They told me to treat it like paint, and wash and wax over it. You really cant tell, feels like the paint. I guess if it gets beat up over the years, you just peel off and your paint is like new and you can apply a new one. I took to the infiniti dealer and they had autobahn install it for $530. Bumper/mirrors/fender/hood. Kind of a high price, but I didnt want to see the paint get screwed up again.

$530 to me is a great price. if it protects you from rocks and debris. to re-paint paint the Bumper/mirrors/fender/hood will cost more than that.
