Which Short-Throw Shifter?

B&M looks like the best deal. Has anyone had any problems with installation or functioning of a B&M? It doesn't come close to hitting the console in 1st, 3rd, and 5th, I hope (the Pacesetter apparently has this problem).

If you have or would recommend a different STS, which and why? Thanks!

I haven't really heard anything bad about any of the shifters except the aluminum ebay ones. I have a pacesetter, I picked that because it was only $70, its adjustable and steel. I don't have it set to the shortest setting but I don't hit my hand on the dash.

So everyone with a Pacesetter is happy with it?

How does the adjustable pivot ball work? It looks like it could move up and down the thread, how does it stay locked?

from what i understand any STS for our cars is a bit stiff and takes a bit to get used to but i have a pacesetter and i love it. not hard to install and the difference is unreal. i have no problems with hitting the dash or any other problems with it. i would recomend it to anybody.

Cool, thanks for the input. I'm leaning toward Pacesetter for its price and adjustability.

The B&M is not adjustable. 40% throw reduction, they say. Is that short enough for you?

This is quite true. I have a stillen STS and this thing is notchy as hell. With any STS you will experience a harsher shift than the OEM shifter. But with the stillen i think that this STS has the shortest shift out of any shifter. 60% shorter throw than the OEM shifter.
