Spark Plugs?

Hey guys, before I make any purchases concerning spark plugs what is the difference in platinum, irridium and copper NGK saprk plugs performance wise. Or the platinum just lasts longer?

Which one will be as close to stock as possible. My book recommends platinum, but is it just to make it last longer?

Thanx
Mike

This is getting repetitive! No performance difference, platinums and iridiums will last longer, but if u don't mind changing plugs every 30k instead of 90k, get the coppers.
