Indiglo Gauges

I have a 98 maxima GXE and I installed the indiglo gauges from Paradox-systems today. Instructions very fuzzy. Found some instructions online from MaximaDriver I think. I have 2 questions.

On the back of the gauge panel there are several screws and I got everything installed but the kit has two wires (red & black) that I didn't know where to put them. The instructions said the black one was the ground and the red should be spliced with a blue wire accessing your dimmer switch so when you turn on the clearance light the indiglo would light up. Wasn't sure about the splice so I attached the wire to a battery screw on the back. Gave off a slight buzz but it seemed to work. Do I need to go back and splice since the indiglos are on now but the car is off?

Not all the gauges are working properly. Dials not turning smoothly or at all. How can I get gauges work normally? Does anyone have a remedy for this?

This kit also came with two buttons but one of them seems to do nothing. Of course I may not be able to see this since it's not dark yet. Anyone with the same kit who came help with the troubleshooting? I would really appreciate any assistance the someone can give.

Thanks

You definitely should splice the red power wire to the blue wire of the dimmer switch. This way the gauges only come on when the car is on.

The needles are sticking because the gauge faces are not lying completely flat against the old ones. Some people use double sided tape. I used some crazy glue around the edges.

good luck.

The only blue wire I see is one that is blue and has what looks to be a pink stripe. I guess that is the one.

The needles were sticking and I had to put more tape down. Only one was being real stubborn about it. I had to sand it a little. Thanks for the information.

i used a fingernail cutter and trim off the back of the needle so it won't touch the gauge face. i also used some double sided tape as well.

I just ran the indaglos along with aftermarket fogs through a switch that I placed on the dash. I had the power coming through the ignition so even if I leave them on, they cut off when I turn off the max.
