Unplugging the Torque Converter Clutch?

Sorry about making a new thread but I'm really sweatin this. I saw somewhere that you can "unplug" this lock-up on your torque converter and lose a bit of gas mileage but no other performance hits. Is this true or complete and utter BS?

A reply from Nismo....I am truly honored. Anyway, I heard about that but thats what it does? hmm.....I think I'll just get it fixed instead of doing that and having to buy a new tranny later. Thanks! Edit: Lovin the eyelids.

Basically you unplug that resistor and it gives full line pressure which will make the tranny shift super fast and super hard for faster shifting while racing. Only good if you are flooring it. That link is instruction on how to wire up a switch so that it will only activate when you go WOT since you never what it to shift like this when you are not flooring it all the way, it will mess up your transmission.
