smelly A/C ?

got stanky air comming though my vents. i hear this is caused by mildew getting into your vent system.. what kinda lysol and i spose to use to clean it? also.. if that still doesnt fix it.. what else can make my a/c smell.. i got the condenser replaced but the drier was not. can a bad drier make it smell?

There is all so a cabin Micro Filter some change for improved air quality. As for Lysol? Pretty sure any scent as long as you make sure it reads Anti Bacterial.

I would try the Lysol disinfectant trick but my other guess would be your catalytic converter maybe trying to send you a message. It is possible that it may be abandonning you since your car is 9 years old if in fact it is original. BTW, nice color max.

I doubt it's the CAT, it's just the mildew inside the A/C /vent. system. I've done the Lysol trick before and it worked fine.

try the lysol and see what happens.
I know that Japenese air condition just sometimes has kind of a weird smell. My old Mazda did, and my friend's Scubby does too.
I think they put rice in there since then just love it so much.

I cleaned my AC yesterday with Lysol and I could "smell" the difference. I also found that water drain was somehow blocked because I did not have any water under the car after using the AC.
So, check the drain and Lysol should do it.
