Mobiltek VB Arrived Today!!!
My VB finally came in today! Will install ASAP. Does any on have any tips or pointers? Will let you know how it turns out! Contrary to popular belief, Don in Texas (Ryan too!) was great to deal with, answered every e-mail promptly. Shipping was a bit long but being in Canada, customs slowed things down (package leaked ATF). Soon we'll see just how good the product is!!

Be very **** about keeping the bolts on order with their corresponding holes.
Take your time and double check each step to make sure you got everything right.
It's been so long since I put mine in, those are the only tips I can think to give you.

Don declared shipping value of $50 so I only had to pay $15 when I picked it up. I ordered it in March when they had a limited time offer of $270 USD shipped, pretty darn good deal, couldn't resist!. I don't think that it will happen again soon, you never know. You do have to cough up the $ to ship your core back. I probably won't have it installed until next week, as soon as its done, I'll post a little review.

The best tip I can offer is to bring a little Vaseline with you. Seriously, there is a small spring that is resting on top of the VB, and it is a MF to get to set up right. You can use a little dab of vaseline to hold the spring to the VB as you put it back in place. Also be carefull with the solenoid packs on the back side, make sure to pull the retainer clip off of thhe harness on top of the trans towards the front so you can have some slack to remove the solenoids from the stock VB. The best way to do the bolt removal is one at a time, and put the bolt you remove in the spot for the new VB, and pay careful attention to length of bolts. There are bolts behind the filter too...As long as you take your time, it is pretty easy to do. I was done in less than 2 hours.

My tip is to enlargen the bolt pattern pic from Don's Mobiltek website and then number each bolt on the pic. For each bolt I took out I labeled it to match the pic so I didn't get mixed up when I put them back in.
Another tip is that when you drop the vb be VERY AWARE of the spring and its location on the vb!! Drop the vb slowly and get ready for a flood of tranny fluid!
Also make a mental note of the position of the plunger thingie as it has to be put back in the same way. I messed up by putting it in the wrong way.
It took me 4 hours to do, including the error.

Oh yeah, about figure 1 on Mobilteks' website about detaching the harness retainer clip on the tranny. You have to turn the pic sideways so the hand is on the right hand side to get true positioning of where the harness retainer clip is located.
