Springs That Will Not 'SAG' for 5spd Max

I have read the FAQ page and read many threads about spring & shock set up's. I have read where some springs tend to SAG on 5spd 4th gen Maximas. Which springs are known to sag? I already have KYB GR2's......which springs should I stay away from and which springs will not sag?

I want a mild drop.. less than 2"...prob in the 1.6" range.

Thanks to all who reply!!

i just recently put in my APEX springs and i love them. they dropped my car about 1.5 and they feel like the stock suspension with my kyb gr2's (thanks buda). the difference is amazing, it handles much better around corners, and it just sits much much better. I've heard progress are good but they drop you like 2.0 inches and i wanted a less dramatic drop. (body kit is in the garage). I love them.

First, Progress springs don't drop that much. They have like a 1.6 or 1.7" drop front with a 1.5" in the back.
They are good from what I have heard.

Also, the ones that I hear are the best for a slight drop and sit even on the 4th gen 5spd are the Tein H-Techs. They drop like 1.5" front and 1.3"rear. I would try those out. There is a group deal in the gd forums for them right now I believe.

Of course, you could always go with the H&R's. They are very small drop too, but are very high quality springs. They have softer rate, so if you have bad roads, you might want to consider the H&R's. They will give a very comfortable ride.

The H&Rs are great springs, but I've seen pictures of them sagging on 5spds. I have the Tokico package with Illuminas on my 5spd GXE. I got a drop in the 1.6-1.7" range. Rear dropped a bit more than the front, but my ride height is now dead even. I love them for ride, performance and look.

Progress do NOT drop down to 2 inches noob! (jk). Sprints are known to drop that low, but some say the ride is harsh. I have progresses w/18's and i can barely fit my fist in the wheelwell (check the homepage). But best of all my springs do not sag.

H&R's are the most comfortable and almos OEM, but then again, they look as high as OEM. Drop is a mere 1.2.

Check this out and use it RELIGIOUSLY!

Brudaddy, have you decided your suspension setup yet?

Thanks for the replies. By the way....I have read and re-read the **http://maxmods.dyndns.org/** information on shock and spring set-up's but there is not any information regarding SAGGING spring problems for 5 speeders.

Thanks Again for the replies. I will have to sleep on my options before purchasing. As well, I will be sure to post my results after several miles so others like myself with a 5spd Max can view...

Could someone explain:

1. Exactly what is meant by "sagging"
2. Why a 5-speed would sag but not an auto, considering the 5-speed is about 58 pounds lighter than the auto...

Thanks.
