Entering The "Max" world...

Hello, I am new to the forum but am not new to forums in general. currently I own a Pearl White 1993' ATX Ford Taurus SHO with 119k. I love the car very much, but now I am looking for a little bit newer car with a little fewer miles. I really like the style of the Gen 4 maxima's. I have a buddy with a Pearl White gen 4 max. I really like the car, he put Moteggi MR7's on it with about a 2" drop, and it looks mighty nice. I guess what I am asking is...Are there anythings that i should really look for in these cars?...such as rust spots, engine problems, gasket leaks, etc.... Please let me know....I am not stupid when it comes to engines...I do own a car with a Yamahamer (yamaha) engine in it. Probably one of the tuffer engines to work on in its day. Thanks In Advance,

shawn

Welcome to our world. As with buying any used car, take it for a test drive. If you can, take it to a mechanic for a quick once-over. Check for regular maintenance, esp. around 60K miles. There should be a laundry list of stuff that was done at 60K.
